Impact

BBCG seeks to positively impact the Black British community through its three strands: Business, Charity and Youth

Business
BBCG works closely with black-owned business, providing advice on various matters, as well as using membership fees (as applicable) for small-scale operational funding. BBCG are always looking for business applicants to work with. If you are interested, please apply using the application form below
Charity
BBCG works closely with its chosen ‘Charity of the Year’ (COTY), providing advice in relation to a number of matters including funding and fundraising. The ethos of our selected COTY closely aligns with our principles of supporting the Black British community. BBCG also holds an annual charity gala, titled “City Generosity”, the proceeds of which go to our COTY. Our COTY for 2020 is BLAM (Black Learning Achievement and Mental Health), which aims to improve the wellbeing of people of Afro-Caribbean descent by providing (among other things) educational support and mental health support.
Youth
BBCG’s Youth Engagement strand empowers young Black Britons ranging from students in secondary education to university students. BBCG currently operates a mentoring programme within schools in inner London and hosts its annual Breaking Barriers Student Law Conference for BAME university students seeking a career in the City of London.
