Who we are
The idea
The idea of BBCG was conceived on an outbound flight to Montego Bay, Jamaica in 2015. The goal was to form a professional community that allowed Black Britons working in the City of London to better leverage their cross-industry relationships.
Representation of the distinct needs of Black Britons is scarce as the UK focuses on grouping all ‘non-white’ ethnic groups together as BAME
Since 2016, BBCG’s members and associates have supported business and charities by using their resources to provide ad-hoc consultancy and financial donations. We also host regular meetings and socials to promote cross-industry networking.
Currently, BBCG’s members consist of professionals from law, banking and consulting at over ten City firms including J.P Morgan, Linklaters, and McKinsey & Co. Our associates are from a range of backgrounds including technology, media and the public sector
